The Rotary Club of Booval hit the ground running to assist with flood recovery on the 15th and 16th January 2011 in Ipswich.
We started out with approx 20 people and we catered for this number.
However during the course of the day we feed approx 200 -250 people workers and residents . we went in complete with a catering section high pressure cleaners , port a loo , large generator to power the pressure cleaners, urns and fridges.
With the numbers we had on site we totaled approx. 60 people.
This allowed us to clean approx 11 houses inside ,outside ,upstairs and down stairs.
On Sunday the 16th we went to another area that was hit very badly some houses had 4.50 mt of water over the roofs and did it all again.
The club has since sent 8 large cartons of personal items to the township of Condamine That appeared to be forgotten by the big media push.
